And now the latest model is here – the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 sports a 10.1 megapixel high-sensitivity CCD sensor teamed with a new 3.8x optical zoom Leica DC VARIO-SUMMICRON lens that ranges from 24mm wide-angle to 90mm at the telephoto end, with a large f/2.0 aperture making it excellent for low-light performance and achieving background blur.

Power O.I.S. doubles the hand-shake correction as compared to previous image stabilisation systems. The all-new Venus FHD image processing engine ensures high quality stills and 720p HD movies in AVCHD lite format, as well as low power consumption allowing around 400 shots per charge with the supplied rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. And of course the LX5 offers a large 3.0” 460K LCD Screen, full manual controls along with a new jog dial, hot shoeand RAW file format.
Movie Feature - captures High Definition video in AVCHD Lite format up to 1280x720p resolution at 50p frames per second. Basic in-camera video editing is possible. Intelligent Auto functions during video recording, as well as My Colour, Film Mode, Happy Mode. Creative movie mode allows manual control over exposure. 3.8x optical zoom functions during video recording. The length of recording time depends on the capacity of the SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card*.
