The new Sony HDR-HC9 captures stunning Full HD1080 footage on standard Mini DV tapes in the widely supported HDV standard. Utilising a powerful ClearVid CMOS sensor & 10 x optical zoom Carl Zeiss lens, the HDR-HC9 boasts some of the most powerful optics in the entire Sony HD Handycam range. The HC9 can capture 6.1 Megapixel still images – with flash and red eye reduction, or still images equivalent to 4.6 Megapixel while simultaneously shooting video. It features Super Steady Shot optical image stabilisation, external mic and headphone jacks, removable lens hood. Also you can easily assign a variety of camera settings to the Manual button and adjust them with the Camera Control Dial for smooth manual operation. RRP $1799. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Optical Image Stabiliser – optically compensates for vibration and hand-held movement for smoother, less jumpy images.
High Definition 1920 x 1080 – records High Definition video at 1920 x 1080i for amazing image quality.
6.1 Megapixel Still Image Capture – Takes hi res still photo images. Also allows you to capture images at 4.6 megapixels whilst shooting video at the same time.
Microphone & Headphone Jacks - For those who are serious about sound, the HDR-HC9 enhances the recording experience by allowing you to connect a powered external microphone to the camera. Monitoring audio levels is also made easier thanks to the external headphone jack.
Camera Control Dial - Easily assign a variety of camera settings to the Manual button and adjust them with the Camera Control Dial for smooth manual operation.
iMovie 08 Compatible - Footage from this Handycam can be imported to Intel Macs using iMovie '08 and the latest operating system update (Mac OS X 10.5). Please visit the Apple website for more information on iMovie 08 (including system requirements and detailed compatibility information). |
